Founded in Birmingham during 1868 Lambournes Sophos Ltd were manufacturers of braces, spats, buttons and studs, which were supplied both to the gentry and the menswear trade.

Over the following decades the company expanded its range to include cufflinks armbands, belts, leather goods and gifts.

In 1981 it was acquired by the Arnold Wills Group - the UK’s largest manufacturer of fashion belts, braces and leather goods supplying the multiple retail sector.
